   This is too easy! No need to brown it and you can probably do it in a slow cokoer and leave it all day. I didn’t want to cut up the meat and do my regular beef (onion, bacon and beer) stew.Take a chuck steak (no bones) and a package of onion soup or beefy onion soup mix and a 14.5 oz can of tomatoes with their juice, squished. I doubled it because I have a big hunk of meat. 325 degree oven for about three hours, until it’s tender enough to fall apart. Use drippings for gravy. I love it over egg noodles. Now I have to go toast the almonds and cashews (appetizer) and see what kind of ungodly apple dessert thingie comes out of the oven! I went to make Mom’s apple pie and prepped the apples, then I didn’t have flour too many neighbors calling me for pantry items! Dee
