NIN, Garbage, Jack White, this sounds promising.
Thanks

What’s with the sudden fascination of a 20yr old album? Not that I’m complaining I just never expected a sudden blast of awesomeness out of the blue like this. It is simply the coolest thing U2 could have done for their longtime fans!

It’s exactly that, their 20 year anniversary.

Nin or better said, Trent Reznor lost his touch, what a sterile, lazy and ordinary “version” he did. Fortunately, the other bands did a terrific job!

i was looking forward to buying the issue of Q specifically for the CD, which i wanted specifically for NIN’s cover of Zoo Station, and i’m still going to buy it if i can find it anywhere, but fortunately the album was anticipated enough to be shared on this great information superhighway. i agree that NIN’s cover sounded relaxed and casual, but i enjoyed it anyway! thanks to NAR for the upload!

Although I like this and I am a big fan of many of the artists, I don’t think any of these covers top the originals. Not that that was the idea but it just shows what a great record the original was. They played a lot of these songs when I saw them this past summer. I believe U2’s greatest moment along with The Joshua Tree. And yes, I expect more out of Trent/NIN doing Zoo Station. C’mon, he should have tore it up!

The best thing about this is that the best covers are the non-popular songs – track 9-12 are amazing covers – props to DM and Garbge also but the rest is pretty much generic or not good. Glasvegas and Jack White covers are the best

Depeche Mode, Gavin Friday and Patti Smith covers are the best!!!!
(Achtung Baby is my favorite cd of U2 since your release)
Unfortunately here in Brazil everything is expensive: CDs, DVDs, etc – but we give a way ;)
