are these even his songs? Album credits say he did not write even one pbit of these days. The Giving Tree was written and recorded by Evan Watson and everyplace says he has no writing credits.

Mike – does it matter? I listen to Meat Loaf because his voice is amazing, as long as he’s performing the songs I don’t care if they were written by him, Steinman, or even N-Dubz. At least he’s admitting that the songs were written by other people, instead of fobbing them off as his own.
Will be listening to this album later, can’t wait :D

True True. Maybe he gave up after that horrible last album? He does have a great voic, but without Steinman he’s kinda lost. The Giving Tree is a great song originally, Evan Watson is a great musician. Maybe thats why Meat Loaf chose to do one of his songs

I’ve always thought that Meatloaf just drifted without Steinman. Maybe its because Steinman’s songs set the bar so high.

Mike,
Meat Loaf has rarely written any of his own songs. Jim Steinman and others have written most of his songs, but he does his job by belting them out better than anybody can! Having said that, he has written a couple, but weren’t that great. He’s better at performing, which is fine with me!
